Concept: Vancouver Expo 2020
The City of Vancouver, awarded their 2nd Expo due to the success of Expo ‘86, which left the city of Vancouver with such resources as the Skytrain system, the main artery of Vancouver. BC Place the main large-event stadium for the city was also built for Expo, which also served as the home of the 2010 Olympics, housing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Lastly, Science World was built during Expo, which in time has become a mainstay and an iconic part of the Vancouver skyline. Due to that, the design was built around the iconic triangles of the Science World and an array of colours, symbolizing the diversity and beauty of Vancouver in all of its forms.
The main colour scheme is the blue and green, a typical Pacific Northwest colour scheme and also the colours of the Vancouver Canucks.
